A Celebration of Youth, Culture, and Connection in Coma-ruga

Coma-ruga, Spain – Over the course of nine transformative days, 30 young people from six different countries came together for The Gathering 2025, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that became far more than just a project. It evolved into a heartfelt experience of growth, cultural exchange, and deep connection.

These dynamic youth groups brought their diverse perspectives and energies to Coma-ruga, creating a unique space of shared learning and unity.

🎭 Exploring Identity, Rights, and Stereotypes
Each day unfolded with purpose. Early on, participants were immersed in workshops like “Siluetas”, a non-formal education (NFE) performance that prompted meaningful dialogue on human rights and identity. Through activities like the Iceberg of Culture, the group explored what lies beneath visible cultural traits, learning to appreciate the unseen values and assumptions we all carry.

Creative expression played a key role. Workshops led by Lithuanian, Bulgarian, and Spanish teams used dance, music, and writing to challenge stereotypes. Italian facilitators later introduced “Non-Bias – Using Your Senses”, a powerful session that examined how perception shapes reality and how narratives often exclude marginalized voices.

🎒 Learning Through Play and Reflection
Whether it was the Stereotypes Gymkana or the energizer sessions like THE BOX, fun and movement were always intertwined with introspection. Every activity had a purpose – to break down assumptions, inspire empathy, and build community.
