Gender Enders 3 – Coma-ruga, Tarragona (24.09.2022 – 02.10.2022)

From 24 September to 2 October 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting the third edition of Gender Enders in Coma-ruga, Tarragona. This Erasmus+ project brought together young people from 10 countries to explore questions of gender, identity, activism, and self-expression.

The project was full of learning moments: from talking about emotions, identity, and violence to practicing kinesthetic learning, dance improvisation, and forum theatre. Each activity encouraged participants to reflect, challenge stereotypes, and discover new perspectives.

We also had the honor of inviting a special guest, the Barcelona drag king @capitano_barbaconyo, who helped participants deconstruct gender roles and prepare for their very own drag show—an empowering and unforgettable moment. ✨

Beyond the sessions, the group visited the “Lesbofòbia” exhibition in Sitges and the LGBTQ+ Centre in Barcelona, connecting with local activism and history. A session on digital activism was also hosted in El Roc, as part of the KA2 project “RALYO”. To close the week, the group prepared a demonstration called “Continuamos el camino”, symbolizing the ongoing fight for equal rights, diversity, and freedom. 🌈

What made Gender Enders 3 truly special was not only the activities, but also the group spirit—a vibrant community of participants who supported, inspired, and learned from one another.

Love as an emotion is a mix of joy and trust.
